The Oak of Peace

The Catalina Verdugo Adobe

The Wonderful Woodlands

Verdugo Woodlands West is a beautiful residential area in north-eastern Glendale. It encompasses the area West of Verdugo Road, South of Oakmont Country Club, and North of Verdugo Park. It is nestled in a lush valley between the Verdugo Mountains on the West and the San Rafael Hills to the East. The Woodlands is named for and filled with a wonderful combination of trees including California Live Oak, Evergreen, Jacaranda, Sycamore, and Palm. It has a rich Spanish, Mexican and American history dating from 1784. The oldest existing structure, the Catalina Verdugo Adobe, was constructed around 1860.

The homeowners of the Verdugo Woodlands are proud of their neighborhood and they have created this Homeowners Association to help keep the Woodlands a wonderful place to live, to raise children and to call home.

Membership Dues are $25 per year

MEMBERSHIP DUES POLICY

New members joining in October, November or December will be charged a fee of $30. Five dollars will cover the remainder of the current year and remaining $25 will cover all of the following year.  In the second year after joining, the new member will be randomly assigned to one of the Association’s quarterly billing periods and the subsequent annual dues will be $25. The assigned billing period will probably not be related to the month the member joined the Association.

Dues notices are mailed in January, April, July and October and the intent is to send dues notices to approximately one quarter of the membership in each period. Members who do not respond to the first dues request will be sent a second request 3 months later. Members who do not respond to the second request will be removed from the list of active members at the end of the first quarter of the following year.
